Update V
Published on: 05/22/2022
With this fifth installment of the Scorecard Update Project, a total of 9 scorecards were updated both in wording as well as with the newer scorecard chart format that was debuted in Update 1. Of the 9 scorecards that were updated, 4 included changes to the scores of the switches whereas the remaining 5 received only text based changes. This now makes for a total of 51 scorecards updated to ‘V2 status’, with 24 total scoring changes across the first five updates.
#1. 8008 Ink
Wobble
Upon revisiting not only the 8008 Ink switch in my collection but also the small batch in my extras, I noticed some intermittent top housing wobble issues that I don’t believe were properly accounted for nor documented the first time around. Thus the score of the wobble section decreased here in the updated version.
Context
As more custom Gateron switches have been released utilizing Ink thermoplastic material housings, the drive for 8008 Inks by the community has substantially decreased from the small amount it had initially.

#2. Everglide Sky Blue V2.5
Wobble
Initially when scoring the Everglide Sky Blue V2.5s, I believe I was way too critical on the stem wobble and gave it a lower score that is no longer in line with the scale that I’ve generated in the hundred or so switches I’ve scored since then. Score has been adjusted to be more in line with this current system.
Context
The obscurity, both in design and colorway, has only further increased for the Everglide Sky Blue V2.5 switches with time. Honestly, good luck ever finding these things for sale again given Everglide’s seeming recent brand split with Durock/JWK.

#3. Kingfishers
Sound
While the sound of the Kingfishers is quite round and relatively full bodied, the housing collisions aren’t exactly the most well balanced. The slightly thinner topping out really stood out to me as not being captured accurately in the score upon revisiting the switch.

#4. Snow Whites
Wobble
Much like in the fashion noted above for the 8008 Ink switch score adjustment, upon revisiting my batch of Snow White switches it appears there was both stem and top housing wobble across the batch that was not being accounted for accurately. The score has been adjusted in order to better track this issue.
