Update III
Published on: 09/12/2021
With this third installment of the Scorecard Update Project, a total of 7 scorecards were updated both in wording as well as with the newer scorecard chart format that was debuted in Update 1. Of the 7 scorecards that were updated, only 2 included changes to the scores of the switches whereas the remaining 5 received only text based changes. This now makes for a total of 30 scorecards updated to ‘V2 status’, with 15 total scoring changes across the first three updates.
#1. C3 Macho
Sound
When I had initially reviewed the C3 Macho switches a year or so ago, I wasn’t necessarily as cognizant of how imbalances between topping and bottoming out sound really made or broke switch sound. As well, upon further reinspection I’ve realized just how thin, prickly, and plasticky sounding the top housings were as I’ve gained more experiences with similar sounding linear switches in the past year.

#2. Gateron Keyfirst Cream
Wobble
This is another instance of going through scorecards and realizing that time and increased exposure to more and more switches has changed how I viewed things. I simply think I was too harsh on the initial Keyfirst Cream wobble and gave them a harsher view than I had previously Gateron switches of similar quality and from roughly the same era.
