Update II
Published on: 08/15/2021
With this second installment of the Scorecard Update Project, a total of 8 scorecards were updated both in wording as well as with the newer scorecard chart format that was debuted in Update 1. Of the 8 scorecards that were updated, 5 included score changes in addition to text based changes whereas 3 only had text based changes. This now makes for a total of 23 scorecards updated to ‘V2 status’, with 13 of those having scoring changes between Update 1 and 2.
#1. Kailh Box Silent Brown
Sound
Due to a relatively underdeveloped tactile market compared to today, as well as my general lack of experience when first posting this scorecard, I simply found the initial sound score to not quite hold up over time. while they do still hold well towards the ‘silent’ end of things, the sound that is present highlights an annoyingly scratchy sound rather some of the better subtle tones of normal tactile switches.

#2. Gateron N1
Wobble
Upon revisiting, I found the stem wobble in the N/S direction to be noticeably greater than what I had initially described it as. Again, given the age of this scorecard as this was one of the very first ones I published, this was likely a lack of experience that led me to give it such a score.

#3. Healio
Context
A mixture of even more recent price hikes and further ignoring of the fact that these switches are outclassed by legions of other switches released from other companies has only further driven all Zeal switches - and especially Healios - away from the initial limelight they once existed within.

#4. Naevy V1
Wobble
The stem wobble in the both directions was simply something that I feel like I gave too bad of a score to in the initial scorecard. This was especially made noticeable to me when comparing the scores that these initially had to other, more wobbly switch options that I’ve assigned scores to.
Context
While history has further developed around these switches over the past year of time, I can’t help but bump their score up given their historical significance. Even though the Naevy V1 switches might not necessarily be available now, they did kick off the development of the AEBoard brand of switches which are not only continuing to improve, but developing into a well respected family of switches.
Other
Initially, I had thought these were simply a niche offering between medium and strong tactility that wouldn’t necessarily catch on with the broader community but rather filled a gap across the sum of all offerings. Upon revisiting though, these strike me more like a ‘first of many’ type switch and would still be incredibly viable offerings today if they were sold again.

#5. Seriko
Context
Even with performance metrics in mind, the prevalence of these switches has completely dropped off like a rock in recent months with them not only being available but seemingly forgotten by the entire community at large. It’s even rare to see these switches on the aftermarket anymore, which is a feat in and of itself for something so modern.
