A shorter switch with a longer review. After eternally being behind the ball on getting something together for these strange half-height tactile switches, it’s finally here: a review of Tecsee’s attempt at entering the low profile switch market.

Who would have ever thought that two times in one month we’d get a fresh take on an all time classic. The latest in Cherry’s ‘Gold Standard’ for mechanical keyboard switches is here in the form of Cherry MX2A. Check out here to see if the adjustments they made from the original MX formula are deserving of the name change.

While I know there’s quite a few modifiers in the name, I’ll make it short and sweet by saying these are the latest and greatest in Gateron’s historic yellow line of switches. Are they good enough to top the charts though as the 250th scorecard I’ve published…?

While this would be a really good place to work in some sort of summer-y, fruit related introduction, I’m still just trying to figure out how these switches were named ‘Pineapples’. Of all of the orange fruits I can think of, which is very few for the record, pineapples were not one that came to mind. I guess I’m going to have to find a way around this mental block to actually review the damn things…

Is there even enough proof of life yet that LICHICX is its own factory? I’m not entirely sure I care. So long as they keep putting out switches as interesting as these Lucy silent linears, they can be whatever they want for all I care…
